Eirik Thorsen is a hairdresser, educator and freelance session hairstylist. He is based in Oslo Norway, where he is the owner of the salon Adam og Eva Grensen. Eirik began his career in hairdressing at the age of 17, and has since then built a reputation as one of the leading proffessionals in the Norwegian fashion industry. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in the fields of fashion, beauty, music, advertising, and shows. Eirik has been represented by Norways leading styling agency Pudder Agency since 2012.

Eirik has a humble, yet unconventional approach to hairdressing and hairstyling, and he sees experience, creativity, technical skills and professional strength as the most important factors to being a successful hairstylist. What makes him stand out is his ability to think hairstyling outside the box, and his dauntlessness towards playing with new ideas.

Eirik has received several awards for his work, including Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year 2004 , Session Hairstylist of the Year 2011, Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year 2012 at the prestigious Norwegian Hairdressing Awards. He has been nominated impressive 18 times in this competition in various categories: Hairdresser of the Year, Men´s Hairdresser of the Year, Session Hairstylist of the Year and Avant Garde Hairdresser of the Year. In 2011 Eirik received the Session Hairstylist of the Decade Award (2000 - 2010) at the Norwegian Fashion Awards, where the Norwegian fashion industry paid homage to the most influential contributors of the last decennium. In 2017 and 2018 he was top 5 i American Crew All-Star Challenge Norway, and in 2017 he was one of the international winners of Shu Uemura Gallery of Style.

Since 2003 Eirik has been one of the most requested educators at the Adam og Eva Academy. This has taken him all over Europe teaching the latest hair trends in seminar settings, doing in-salon training and creating shows for Loreal Professionnel, Matrix, Kerastase, Shu Uemura and Redken. Adam og Eva Hairdressers awarded him with the Freshman of the Year Award in 2004, Creative Hairdresser of the Year Award in 2006, 2011 and 2018, and Special Honour Award 2017. Eirik has been the Creative Director of Adam og Eva since 2009.

His intuitive sense of trends, and ability to execute styles has brought him collaborations with a variety of photographers such as Knut Bry, Thomas Brun, Siren Lauvdal, Renate Torseth, Veslemøy Vråskar, Stian Andersen, Sebastian Ludvigsen, Evy Andersen, Thomas Olsen, Marcel Lelienhof, Massimo Leardini, Julie Pike, Baard Lunde, Per Heimly, Johs Boe, Morten Qvale, Tove Sivertsen, Levent Ultanur, Ragnar Hartvig, Joakim Krøvel, Jørgen Gomnæs, Isabel Watson, Birgit Solhaug, Simon Skreddernes, Steffen Oftedal, Fred Johnny, Ida Bjørvik and Kristine Jacobsen. His work has appeared in Norwegian and international publications such as Stella, Tableu Paper, Costume, Tique, H Magazine, Vanity Teen, No Magazine, Elle, Troll, Carl’s Cars, Henne, Det Nye, Kamille, Natt og Dag, Cosmopolitan, KK, Woman, Inside, Peronae, Sva and VG.

Eirik has great experience with catwalk hair, as he has worked as lead hairstylist at Oslo Fashion Week and Oslo Runway for several years. Inspired by the designers vision, he has created the looks for their runway shows, and managed a team of hairstylist. Designers include Moods Of Norway, Elton & Jacobsen, Morami, Ida Gullhav, FIN and Fam Irvol, Vips, TSH, Vatle, Epilogue, Anti-Sweden, Marietta, Maggie Wonka and Haaning & Htoon, Cathrine Hammel and ByTimo. He won the Hairstylist of the Year Award at Oslo Fashion Week 2008. Eirik has also been lead hairstylist at Copenhagen Fashion Week various seasons (Fin, iis of Norway, Undorn and TSH), and he has worked as a hairstylist at London Fashion Week (Charles Anastase and House of Holland), Copenhagen Fashion Week (Minimarket, Rutso and Karin by Simonsen) and New York Fashion Week (Lacoste, Philip Lim, Julian Louie, Milly and Band of Outsiders).

Advertising clients includes DNB, Sats, Elixia, jewellery David Andersen, CC Vest, Lene V, Specsavers, Steen & Strøm, Eurosko, Netcom, Match, Docomo, Reebok, Oslo City and designers like Moods Of Norway, Elton & Jacobsen, Morami, FIN, Sophie Faroh, Maggie Wonka. Helje Hamre, Haaning & Htoon, iis of Norway, Bik Bok, Line of Oslo, Cecile Mellie.

Eirik has worked with artist like Maria Mena, Marit Larsen, Briskeby, Margaret Berger, Rebekka Karijord, Maria Solheim, Nathalie Nordnes, Elin Gaustad, Noora Noor, Helene Bøksle, Marian Aas Hansen, Mariann Rosa, Izabelle and Dagny. He also has experience of being in front of the camera after appearing as hairstylist in TV-shows like Norwegian Idols 2004 (TV2), Shopaholic (TV3), Rockeskolen (TV2 Zebra).
